Safety critical work refers to high risk employment where minimum fitness standard is agreed by industry or is defined in legislations to comply with health and safety at work. These workers are expected to demonstrate acceptable agility, awareness of their surroundings and an ability to respond promptly to dangerous situations at work. These assessments mainly focus on musculoskeletal assessment, visual assessment, auditory assessment, lung function and cardiovascular assessment. Few examples of safety critical roles include fire fighters, railway workers, highway maintenance workers, British transport police, fork lift truck drivers etc. We are able to arrange safety critical assessments according to defined standards as per employee’s job role.
